Hey Longhorns!
I am your school counselor and cannot wait to meet each of you! A little bit about me: This will be my 18th year at Wilmeth and my 24th year with McKinney ISD. Before becoming a counselor, I taught 3rd grade in Amarillo before moving to McKinney where I taught at 1st and 3rd at Finch Elementary and 2nd grade at Wolford Elementary. I am married to a very sweet man named Bubba and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Adding to my family are Bubba’s 2 daughters and 5 more grandchildren. We are very blessed to have all of them in our lives.
As your school counselor, I have a comprehensive guidance program that includes monthly lessons for each class, small groups for students that support them both academically and socially. Along with my counselor position, I am also the 504 Coordinator and Kindness Crew Sponsor. I brag that I have the best job ever as I get the pleasure of working with each student at Wilmeth and aspire to help each student grow socially, emotionally and academically.

Mrs. Morgan-Boyte has been awarded the CREST Award from the Texas School Counselor Association for Wilmeth Elementary in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Dr. McDaniel, MISD Superintendent, presented Teri with the award along with Wilmeth Principal Kristin Ellis.
The CREST award recognizes schools across Texas that appropriately utilize their Professional School Counselors and demonstrate a continuous commitment to building a campus team and programs based on the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs, endorsed by the Texas Education Agency
